Moderation
Ovels' moderation tools cover the full lifecycle of a case — warn, timeout, kick, ban, or softban a member, then review or reverse the decision later. Every action is logged with a reason and the moderator who issued it, so your staff team has a paper trail instead of relying on memory.
What it covers
- Warnings that accumulate and can trigger an automatic punishment once a member crosses your configured limit.
- Timed timeouts and bans that expire on their own, with /unban and /untimeout for early reversals.
- Channel-level lock and unlock for shutting down a single channel during an incident.
- Bulk message purging and a searchable warning/ban history per member.
How to configure it
- Open your server in the dashboard and go to the Moderation section.
- Set a mod-log channel so every action is recorded automatically.
- Set the automatic punishment that fires once a member hits the maximum warning count.
- Decide which staff roles are allowed to issue each action, then save.
TipConfigure the mod-log channel before you start actively moderating — actions taken before it's set aren't retroactively logged.
