How Ovels fits together

Members use Discord. You use the dashboard.

Members interact with Ovels directly in Discord, while server managers use the dashboard to configure it. Ovels checks your current Discord authority on every request, applies the saved feature settings, and returns the result through the relevant Discord channel, direct message, voice channel, or dashboard screen — see the trust and data flow page for exactly how that stays secure.

Live-checked authorization

The dashboard never trusts a cached permission from login. Every dashboard action re-verifies your current Discord roles and Manage Server access before it's applied, so a permission change in Discord takes effect immediately — no re-login required.

Make a safe first change

Four steps before you configure anything critical.

  1. Select a non-critical feature and record its current settings.
  2. Change one value, save, and reload the page to verify persistence.
  3. Test as a normal member in a private channel.
  4. Review the relevant Discord channel permissions and the mod-log.
